I was waiting for the front to approach this morning and wondered what manner of artifact is this?

Expected to see snow when I woke up............none so far.
Partly sunny, in fact.
But it is cold, with that wind.

Temps in the teens and 20s across Maine and it feels like single digits and teens with the wind.

Arctic High moving over us now so will stay dry going forward next couple days.

Next chance of snow and/or rain looks to be Thursday

Just realized I cut off Maine a little. Sorry!

6:30pm Temps. Caribou at 7° is 16 below normal for the hour. Bangor at 11° is 18 below normal.

Here are the 6:30pm Wind Chill Values. Brrrr.. Feels like single digits most of Maine

It was pretty chilly this morning for the Bed Races in Bar Harbor, and for the Pajama sales. But its almost always very windy and cold. Its part of the tradition. It was only 31F, with a 18 mph wind.

Its about 20F now where i live. It about 75F in my house. I guess its time to get the night time foam window coverings out.

Next real precip type even would be Thursday, light snow for northern areas, light rain mostly everywhere else.

Then Saturday the bigger one as the strong cold front comes through. Could be a developing storm along it which will give accumulating snows to most of the state. Probably rain for southern half but too early for details like that

After that cold front it gets cold again Sun, Mon, Tues, (19-20-21) nothing extreme though, then warms up for a day, then cold comes back for next Thursday-Friday 23-24.

NWS says partly cloudy for today, but there is a nice band of snow moving our way from the southwest.

Good radar image with NO popup ads.
