"Good for you. Down on the coast almost no one carries a gun."

They don't carry openly so as not to freak out the tourists. The only odor you'll discover from somebody carrying concealed will be a faint scent of Hoppe's Number 9. There a whole lot more people carrying concealed than one might imagine.

lol... Can't wait to see those colors on the radar map.

With the pattern we have right now, it would be huge snowstorms too with coastal storms and moisture feeding off the warm Atlantic into Cold air (if its around. lol )

Will grab Maine's rain totals tomorrow. Still raining in some areas.

You guys ready for the next storm? Monday. Heavy Rain and Wind again.

Then... MAYBE... some snow for northern Maine next weekend.

It would be good to have a tracking snow on opening day of deer season. The deer still think it's summer.

The deer aren't the only ones. I saw some Geese fly north last week. LOL No joke.

BTW - How are the leaves in Maine? I'm about 60% color finally, 10% bare, 40% still green. A late and dull year.

Interesting, slyfox2! Perhaps it's the influence of living along Route 9...We've seen folks in Brewer carrying in Walmart also! There is a t-shirt at the Amherst General Store (aka Ralph's), store that says, "CSI-MIAMI -They got the Babes, We got the Bodies," because bodies have been found dumped out in our area. Also, we have alot of traffic coming from Canada....Finally, around here, it you call 911, you might see an officer in a half an hour...So, we take care of ourselves and our neighbors!

Radar loop 2:45-6:45am.

Looks like It's been raining for past 8-12hrs straight for most of Maine? More for Eastern MA. I think Nantucket has had mist and rain for like 24hrs straight as the front hovers off the coast still.

Radar loop 2:45-6:45am. Red icons = freezing fog. (30s in Northern Florida this morning. lol )

As promised... Rainfall reports from NWS Caribou's coverage area only.

Save this link. They update storm totals with each storm.

NWS Gray Maine hasn't updated the totals yet since yesterday but here's a full list. New Hampshire is in their coverage area too.
Save this link too.

Currently here, at Aurora, ME..59F Dew Point 59F, Winds South 7MPH...Low tonight 49F....Cloudy and about to rain - again!

Floated into work this morning...(perhaps that was a slight exageration)....it was easily 60F Degrees and also windy (which led us to believe a bit of a Tropical Storm was happening)... As the rain continued we watched it from our first break (at work), lunch/dinner, and finally on our way home!
So thankful to see the lower Beaver Dam filling up again (someone's been a very busy little beaver today)!
Looking forward to this weekend at Birch Meadows Farm...Much to be done (mostly recooperating and re-energizing from this past week)!
Happy Friday Eve....
