The adults should take a pro-active approach here and make the alternative Halloween as exciting as possible.
Hopefully parents do take a proactive approach and can still make good times and memories for their kids. I myself have no children, so in the past it was a fun thing for me to decorate the outside of my house and see the trick or treaters in their costumes and give out candy. Of course it is not necessary and not as important as life or death situations, but it made life more enjoyable and interesting.

I was going to set up a slingshot on the roof and launch candy out into the street for kids to pick up.

And there goes the season. Possibly the entire NFL season soon as well.

What sort of guidelines do teams give players regarding social interactions? Are these players out at parties, or home or in hotel rooms minimizing their interactions. I feel like it would not look to great to your teammates of your star QB goes down because he was out partying (not saying Cam was here)
I'm shocked they made it to week 4. Professional athletes aren't known for following rules.

As for the guidelines for outside the facility, this is what the NFL and MFLPA agreed to:

Quote:
The league also outlined “high risk” behavior that may draw a fine or suspension on the first violation, such as:
  • Attending an indoor bar or night club unless player is wearing personal protective equipment and there are no more than 10 people there.
  • House gatherings of more than fifteen people, unless the player and all guests are wearing masks or PPE, as well as gatherings where social distancing for more than ten people is impossible.
  • Attending an indoor music concert or entertainment event.
  • Attending a professional sporting event (other than applicable NFL games or events) unless the player is seated in a separated seating section, such as a suite or owner’s box, with no more than 10 people total, and is wearing PPE.

I was trying to figure out how to rig up a Reese Cup trebuchet or reconfiguring a T shirt cannon.

I saw some PVC tube attached to a railing recently somewhere. That seems like a safe delivery system. Of course there are still people touching stuff right after someone else does and kids intermingling and all that. Dunno.

We have three in that prime age. We'll just follow the latest guidance and will probably end up doing a candy hunt in our back yard. Should be easy pickings. It's super tiny.

Definitely gonna need a source here. Unless you finally admit to simply regurgitating headlines on yet to be proven studies.
You won't get sources. You will be told to use google. You will get called a COVID denier for questioning absolutely anything negative or embracing absolutely anything positive.

"Children as Super Spreaders

New data shows that children are super spreaders.

A new study published in the leading research journal Science finds that children can spread coronavirus among themselves “efficiently,” and young adults are the primary source of coronavirus spread. The study, based on the largest contact tracing effort on the globe involving more than 3 million people in India, shows most COVID-19 patients never infected anyone else.

The study unveils that 70% of infected people did not infect any of their contacts, while 8% of patients accounted for 60% of observed new infections — derived mostly from children and young adults.

The study also contradicts the widely held belief that children are unlikely to catch the coronavirus."

I was hoping someone would catch on to this. It is almost as if some folks don't even read what they are posting.

Unless we recently gained 1 billion impoverished people and packed the majority of them into densely populated areas with non existent or inadequate infrastructure and medical facilities I'd say it is hard to make any inferences. Other than to be careful and that kids can most definitely spread the disease.
