My initial response was to discharge him and make him pay for his West Point education.
However, maybe he just wants to get out of repaying his service obligation. Perhaps it would be better to just reduce him in rank to private, send him to the most miserable duty station possible, and keep him there until his time is up. Give him no responsibilities any greater than cleaning toilets.
By no means should he be sent to a war zone. He might get someone else killed.

Dishonorable Discharge, and present him with a bill for his education.
By the way, that debt could only be satisfied by full payment. Bankruptcy would not clear that debt! Death would pass the debt on to his estate.

The army is dealing with him right now. Under the current administration I think his days of military "service" will end soon. He deserves a BCD or UD but will probably get a General.
Dishonorable discharges are for things like felony crimes. This is nowhere near the level of a dishonorable discharge.
Officer Discharge. Commissioned officers cannot receive bad conduct discharges or a dishonorable discharge, nor can they be reduced in rank by a court-martial. If an officer is discharged by a general court-martial, they receive a Dismissal notice which is the same as a dishonorable discharge.

Has nothing to do w/ the "current administration" - has everything to do w/ UCMJ. Current Administration needs to butt out and let UCMJ decide. That said, it appears that this LT is a nutjob. Hate to see the taxpayer paying hundreds of thousands for his education and the military gets nothing out of him.
Perhaps 4 yr doing scut work for the Army where he can't do much harm but pay back his education- ie. OIC (Officer In Charge) of Police Call/Ammo Pick Up out at one of our Joint Training Centers or Guantanamo
I spoke with a USMA grad this afternoon who is predicting a general discharge and repayment of his education cost. I have seen estimates for that ranging from $225,000 to over $400,000.
Current commitment for grads is five years plus three years Reserve.
he just took an oath, and as a result, secured a full time government job. (paycheck with benefits).

if they "cancel" his commissioning due to a fraudulent oath, he might lose his degree from USMA.
but he would have a whole lot of college credits!
he had a security clearance while at the academy. someone will have to look at everything he had access to.
Maybe nothing will happen to this guy at all and we will learn that it's ok to be a communist or socialist while serving in the military because that's what being inclusive is all about.
I hope not but I wouldn't bet against it.
