Tom Hanks has been mentioned a lot, but I was most impressed with him in Philadelphia.
The scene where he is explaining to Denzel Washington what Maria Callas is singing, while DZ's character is bored at first but then becomes moved as he is drawn in to emotion of the moment is a great moment between two excellent actors.

That scene is unforgettable. Tom Hanks has done so many wonderful movies, but my favorite will always be his character in Philadelphia. He brought so much to that role. I'll always consider it his best.
I've rewatched Kevin Bacon in Murder in The First many times. That's what I consider his best role. And though it might not be his most chilling character, Christopher Walken was brutal in At Close Range. Older movies but so, so good.
I normally only like classic movies and if I like an actor/actress I will search for other movies they made. Right now I'm watching Daniel Day-Lewis movies (I can't find a lot) after watching There Will Be Blood.
Now I'm watching Phantom Thread with Day-Lewis which I find interesting. I did try to watch Lincoln but for some reason I got bored. Maybe I need to watch more, I don't know.
It wasn't you. LINCOLN is a boring movie. Not the actors' fault. It was just a boring script.
It's yet another movie where Spielberg is making movies for critics rather than audiences.
Thank you, I thought it was me for not having watched it long enough (I think I gave it 30 minutes). I have watched other Lincoln movies, the one with Raymond Massey (Abe Lincoln in Illinois) and the one with Henry Fonda (Young Mr. Lincoln) and I enjoyed both of those very much.
That's a good point about Spielberg making movies for critics instead of audiences.
Hmmmm, I've always wanted to watch that movie and I always seem to get distracted before doing so. I might check it out, but without great expectations.
I have several actors and actresses that I will look up to see what else they've done, and will usually watch, unless it's a violent or horror flick. Not into those.
Thelma Ritter... Rear Window or any movie.. fantastic actress..
