They learned nothing from the last one.

The overdone CGI looks absolutely ridiculous and not in a good way. Like a videogame with no sense of danger or excitement.

Isn't that what a lot of action movies are like today? Elaborate more please?

I would probably watch this at some point, but I find Phoebe Waller-Bridge so completely unlikable that I don't think I'll be able to.

Early word is that it's performing below expectations at the box office.

I think there may be a but in there.

It was released on the weekend preceding a Tuesday holiday which many people started taking off for the previous Thursday combined with two of the busiest air travel days in history.

I know if I'm going somewhere for a few days vacation I likely wouldn't spend some of it in a theater.

Oh, I thought she was an excellent choice for this movie. And I loved her in Fleabag.

I thought the casting was good overall.

I just an article...wish I could find it again...that said the negative $$$ situation with this film mirrors the overall negative $$$ situation with movie theater admissions since covid.

And I'm a good example of that. I would normally have already been to the theater to see this, but I am weighing whether or not to wait until it streams online.

Oh Hell, go. Make it an adventure or something.

When Mrs. NBP and I went Saturday we were talking when the last time we'd been to a movie without a kid or more with us.

It was the release of Return of the Jedi and since she was pregnant maybe it wasn't technically without a kid.

What they learned from Crystal Skull is that Harrison Ford and the Indiana Jones brand put enough butts in the seat for the box office receipts alone to quadruple their production costs. Which is the entire point.
