Gretchen B;503801But seriously, I hope folks on this thread won't judge Ogallala and the people there by a couple of bad experiences out by Interstate. There are some good places to eat there with great service. And just alot of really nice people, in general.
It seems to have a lot of defenders. I wouldn't worry about it. And I don't think I would have gotten so carried away had some people not tried to argue with me about expecting good service, period. It should not be conditional. BTW, it happens everywhere.

Did you actually mean "contiguous"? FYI, those are the 48 lower states, not counting Alaska and Hawaii.

Exactly who are you quoting?

Wow dawgs, you are all straight trippin! A little sumthin, sumthin on my history. I was born and raised and run the streets of west O-town all my life, so I've seen some things. Anyway, me an my boyz were cruzin 80 on the way to Denver. We stop in at Boss-zizzles at the Grand Island exit. We had on SUM ice, but it was really not that much. Anyway, we go over to talk to some local honeys and you could tell they were thinking "dayum...they boyz got it goin on>" Just then whitey farmer rolls up and starts talkin sh*t. My boyz held me back. We jumped in the ride and never looked back.

Nitn,

So, after encountering one person in Grand Island you've determined it to be the worst town in Nebraska??

Plus, I think you referencing the person as "whitey farmer" pretty thoroughly displays your attitude. Why wouldn't someone have a problem with that display of ignorance??

My general opinion is that most people (anywhere) don't really get too wrapped up into how much "ice" a person is wearing and most women don't really like to be referred to as "honeys".

Sounds to me like you're an egocentric maniac with little education. Maybe not...but that's my first impression.

Omaha

Ooh the scary streets of west Omaha. For someone who actually came up with the upbringing he tries to emulate I think it's funny to see people want to be like that.

Well alrighty then, I guess I thought people only spoke like that if they were from a really big city, I was thinking he was talking about Oakland or something.

Some people may "speak" like that, but nobody "types" like that. Do they?? Its probably a 13 year old child of a yuppy goofing around on his daddy's computer!

At any rate, people in west Omaha do not talk like that. Heck, most of the people who are in west Omaha either came from small towns or their parents did.

Just a joker! Not to mention he was at Bosselmans' Pump and Pantry right off the exit (I'm assuming that's what "Boss sizzles" means!). That's almost 10 miles from G.I. So, the "whitey farmer" could have been from South Dakota for all he knows!! It was an interstate exit truck stop!!
