I must say that while I found MattDen tiresome, there are others higher up on my list of "Needs to be Banned". If any mod wants my suggestions, PM me.

I, surprisingly, would probably agree. I was probably Mattden's biggest critic and argued with him all the time and I found most of what he posted to be a little on the ridiculous side. However, he didn't really attack people, name call, or threaten anyone. I was a little surprised he was banned just for annoying people. But maybe I missed some of his more venomous posts.

Actually, just annoying people isn't criteria for being banned. Generally when someone is banned there are a few people who are perplexed by it, but what happens is that we have to delete posts or make Mod cuts on several of their posts so you don't see a lot of what they've written. The only people who can see it are the person themselves and the mods. We sparingly ban people because we want to keep our members and we want people to feel free to post their thoughts. But the problem we can run in to if we would leave everything that was posted or let everyone remain a member is that in time, lack of moderation would drive many people away.
