So far it's Russo's in Bridgewater. Just moved back from the west coast recently and still searching.

"deep dish" chicago pizza.
Ew... To me, worse than "corporate pizza" like Domino's, Pizza Hut, etc...

Don’t get me wrong, I love New Jersey and could never live in Brooklyn again but the food here sucks with very few exceptions.
But what should I expect in a state where people don’t seem to care about supporting local businesses or farmers and corporate chains and big box stores rule.
The good part about having lousy restaurants is that I have honed my cooking skills.
Lepke, New Jersey has many pizza places that could be considered among the best in the USA. Not saying that Brooklyn doesn't have great places but NJ does also. Of course everyone has their opinion. A Mano is a relatively new restaurant in Ridgewood... I would suggest giving that a try.

I am a pizza nut and I do enjoy Uno's but it tops the unhealthy scales just about more than anything.

Nowa true dough has only 3 or 4 ingredients: flour, water, salt and sometimes yeast

deep dish is good but i agree it's a little too much, i don't get that style too much

i'm not even talking about deep dish though

i'm talking about regular pie over here is just paper thin

are there any places where the pizza isn't paper thin????

too thick and doughy. i'm not a fan of the chicago style dog either - too much crap on it - it's like "what the hell else can we pile on this thing?" - the dog itself is an afterthought. give me a crisp sabretts with k r a u t , those sauteed onions and mustard and I'm a happy gal. now ,back to our regularly scheduled pizza debate
