People who left the state for whatever reason is fine (free country and all). But if you have to look at NJ's problems to feel better about your own state's problems then you're dismissing reality, and you've already failed yourself.

Edison isn't a city. It's a town.

Do either of you have a clue about NJ? Towns vs. cities vs. townships?

Don't sound like it.

I used Edison as an example of an 'NJ city' because of its population: ~100k. The others were examples of smaller NJ municipalities that were well-off (this was in response to FL Gentlemen suggesting that any NJ town/city/whatever, of any somewhat significant population weight, were in some form of decay. In other threads he's used Irvington and Bayonne as examples of this (a town and city).

Yes, Edison is officially titled a 'town'; but towns/cities can be compared regardless of designation as either, like when the rankings of safest/most dangerous come out they'll usually list them all as cities. Or in some cases they'll be counted as long as they meet a certain population requirement.

Depends on what you're looking for I guess...me you couldn't get me to live in that skeeter, alligator infested swamp they call FL for free
They have crime rates just as bad or worse than parts of Jersey, places just as scary or even more so than Newark.
Most of FL is transplants from somewhere else....all though many of those said transplants fled in droves up to the Carolinas

Jersey is not perfect but I like the change of seasons, I like being close to NY or a few hours drive from Boston.I like having the Jersey shore or the mountains and lakes of North West Jersey.

For all of my major dislike of the state of FL, I am not about to hop over to the FL forum and tell those people how god awful their state is like someone in this thread
