One of the residents here in Timberon that lost everything also lost several cars that were parked on the property. A neighbor was helping them clear some of the things and found three places where aluminum had melted from the cars and have put them up on e-Bay to sell to benefit the two that lost their homes. I have already offered $250 on one of the items so they put a reserve of that amount on that item. I think these items are interesting enough that all will receive much more than that. Check them out:

There will be a potluck dinner on Friday, May 22 at 6:00 p.m. here at the lodge in Timberon to honor the firefighters.
Tea and water will be furnished. Bring whatever dish you would like to share.
I'm spreading the word, if any of you would like to be here or know of anybody that would like to be here, help me spread the word please.

Song,

I would love to be there but I just can't, being 300 miles away as the crow flies and 500 miles as the SUV drives, I just can't take the time. Make sure you guys take care of them. It really could have been a lot worse. I know you will make it fun for everyone.

Wrong choice of words here: The Timberon Fire DEPARTMENT will be honored and not just the firefighters.

That is truly good news. I have been hoping the best for all of those in that situation.

Me too. I hope there aren't any "hot spots" left. I suppose not.
