I got called back for an interview about days ago but I'm hesitant.. I don't know the Brooklyn area at all and some people have been telling me it's worse than where I am now in the Bronx. Do you or anyone on these forum have comments about the Brownsville / east New York where these builds are located ?
My friends who live in that part of Brooklyn tell me nothing but negative things about East NY and Brownsville. If I was offered a 3 bedroom in Livonia Commons for $200.00 a month, I'd still turn it down because my safety in exchange for a 3 bedroom in a luxury building at $200 a month just isn't enough of a bargain. Even for free I would still turn it down.
Wow serious? Is that bad lol I know it mostly a black Caribbean area but I can see how ppl will be concern about safely , if we in a luxury building ppl going to think we have money lol
I didn't think it was going to be THAT bad but I still won't turn it down I'm currently in west Harlem
Also what was ur number when u got a call for an interview?
My log number was 600. I googled maps the place it doesn't seem to bad within the surrounding area there's lots of houses around, especially around Sheffield ave. Living in the Bronx I can say there are lots of areas people might think are bad but actually are pretty good. The same could maybe be said about Livonia commons but I'm not from Brooklyn so what would I know lol
Anyone who watches the 10 O'clock news will see that East NY is on there every night. The awarded tenants will only ruin their new apartments and invite all their relatives and family to stay with them and turn it into some half way house for people without proper documents to live and work in the US.
It's just common sense that East NY is the Newark, NJ of NYC. There truly are no words. I feel bad for the developer of the building who shelled out millions of dollars to build a complex in such a horrible area in exchange for a tax credit on real estate property.
