That's the date they expect closings to begin for the market rate units. Obviously not set in stone. Also, I am not sure but I think there is some HPD requirement that at least some of the affordable units are filled before they can close on market rate units?

I hope this is right. I really wish they would give us some kind of update on the timeline!

I passed the building today and it seems to be moving slowly. The adjoining buildings seem to be moving more rapidly. No word, I emailed last week and asked about the possibility of resubmitting paper work, I never received an answer. Usually I would hear in a day or two, but haven't heard anything. I did notice that in front of Freedom Place there seems to be graduating stairs running parallel to the front of the building. My guess would be September.

I think it's hopeless to try to guess when the building will be ready. None of us know anything about the technical details of occupancy requirements. The building may look completely unfinished but the lobby, elevators, and 2nd-7th floor apartments may be ready. Who knows. We'll get called when they're ready. They want to fill the units as much as we want to move in. I just hope it's before Christmas lol

I'm still hoping for July like Phoenix's software says. If the building gets a CO at the end of July, do you think they'd be able to get us through Compliance and HPD in order to move in during August?

HPD can take a week or many weeks, unfortunately. So much of this process is a mystery. We just have to be patient and flexible

Patience is easier said than done. But there is no other choice, it can't stall forever. It's been 7 weeks for me. And it may be 7 more, but at a drop of a hat I am ready to move.

I guess this is why they stopped calling people. They knew the building wasn't ready yet. At least we got in early. Means we get first dibs on the apartments when they are ready. I really find it hard to believe that it's just us four waiting though.
