Hi I got a letter today, this is my first time ever dealing with this sorta thing. Can someone explain to me how long it will take once I mail my application in? My log number is 3xx. And also how the external waiting list works and what it means... It says the last approved was 377, what does that mean? Sorry for being uninformed, I googled but not much help
Unless you are a military veteran, you are probably going to be waiting upwards of 10 years, possibly more. So get on the list, but look elsewhere if you need new housing in the next couple of years. If you are a veteran, your wait will be much shorter as veterans get first shot at vacancies, although I remember with Masaryk Towers (another list I am on) it was still a couple of years before all the veterans were served and they started with the rest of the list.
Yeah, that's approximately what they have. So there needs to be about 50% turnover (assuming my actual place on the list will be a bit lower due to non-responses/ineligibilities) before they call me!

Anyone else receive a log number? Am I so far the one here with the lowest? If only I had this low a number for York Hill...
