The MTA most likely extended the M from Forest Hills to Parsons/Archer to replace the E which normally runs there.

According to NBC, the MTA expects to restore service later today on the 2/3/4/5 subway lines which run under the East river between Manhattan and Brooklyn.

The L train tunnel is flooded and therefore service on it will not be restored before the middle of next week.
