Up until last week or so, I really was starting to think that you are a rational dude on here who doesn't get over emotional. I am slightly disappointed, not gonna lie.
Just slightly, I really don't care that much.
No prob. bruh... Not really worried what people on this forum think of me.
I just like to have a little fun sometimes (I know you do too), and I gotta admit, there's very few things more fun that to see people scrambling to defend South Africa-styled communities.
But this ain't nothing personal bruh, so chillax.
I wouldn't go, that's for sure. If my home was unlivable because of Sandy, I'd move with family, even family in NJ if I had to before I'd move my kids and wife to a neighborhood like those. I could care less about the color of the people around me, it's the crime in the south bronx in particular. And i would never live in Manhattan period, so forget Harlem based on that.
To tell you the truth Bluedog... I wouldn't be surprised if the City actually was (discreetly) steering displaced ghetto people from Far Rockaway to the Bronx. Apparently all politicians believe the Bronx is the #1 dumping ground to put ghetto trash from other parts of the City.
And it's that kind of BS that contributes and prevents the Bronx from digging out of this "ghetto" hole when the City/politicians makes the hole deeper to climb out of by dumping more ghetto people in the Bronx. How is the Bronx suppose to prosper if you keep shipping ghetto trash to the Bronx?
You might be right. If Bloomberg could cleanse The Rockaways of all ghetto trash( colored and white),they would have a clean slate for mega development of prime waterfront by all his Century Country Club pals. They could turn the Rockaways into the next Miami Beach.Sandy might be the best thing that ever happened for them.
Airborne: So if you did not have family or friends to move in with....or the resources to pay for an apt....you would prefer a homeless shelter to an apt in the Southern Bronx, even temporarily?
bluedog: that's an interesting idea...I suspect it is something they are exploring.

Do you speak out against politicians like Charles Barron and the things he spews? The man obviously wants no white people in his community.

Also, don't ever tell me to "chillax".
LoL chillax available, i told you it ain't personal.
You enjoy a silly internet argument don't you?
And for the record I call out all racists regardless of their color. I haven't seen a charles barron thread but if you start one maybe ill comment
Take it from someone who is looking for an apartment, they are scarce right now. Very scarce. And God forbid you have problem credit or a PET. Just awful right now.
I know 3 people who are homeless. 1 was turned down by FEMA even though they have a tree now sitting in their living room. Another can't find an apartment that will take pets. (This is another problem in this city as there are a lot of landlords who don't allow them) and the other is staying with family until they can renovate.
In case you forgot, it was hard enough to find a decent apartment in this city as it was even before this happened. Because of supply and demand, rent has been increasing every year.
I'm sure there are isolated examples of people who botched the FEMA process or are picky about where they want to/can live.
