I'm not going start any arguments.. But i will say this.. Harry Nespoli was at my garage today QW3... He was taking about " Protecting the Job" .... So someone inquired about what he was refering to.. He said that the "people" that run & dump their trucks by 9:30 is rediculous... Now he did say dump the trucks which is why you get the money for it . but he did say that it is hurting the job by doing things like this .. and he said that if it continues you'll see the effects of it .. He also mentioned the Contract and that he is in the middle of getting some more because of the new police contract ..He said he hopes to have it done by the end of the month ... Other than that my 1st day was pretty awesome ... I made truck and dumped , all in all it was pretty sweet...

Also the DSNY should make everything run buy straight seniority and get rid of section guys and garage guys. No more drivers and loaders. But that's just how I feel.

So how did the July transferees' first day in the new garages go?

I'm in Q8 now, union guy met me right right away(got the GPS lecture), we had numbers swapped in 30 seconds, got my locker before roll call, was the driver on a route in section 81, nice million dollar homes and much cleaner garbage than BX6, took our breaks and lunch, met the section foreman at cutoff time and got back to garage...all in all a nice day.
Got 11-7 baskets tomorrow.
Got 3 guys/girls beat already which is why I put in for it. (2 from July including the Asian girl and one from the August class).
Chart day change wihich will benefit me - my chart falls on 3 holidays so at least I'll get hours that way if I don't get them anywhere else.
