If people are forced to leave because they can no longer afford to live in NYC and because they aren't able to enter into the economic segments with the better paid jobs it isnt them just choosing to live where they want to live.
Many have moved South to find that the opportunities aren't there and the pay is too low.
Moving South is a vague thing and there would need to be a actual stfurd on this. Retirees with a good pension can easily by a house, and children and grandchildren may move in with them or inherit when they die. Others may have relatives who can advise on finding jobs or homes. African Americans with family moving to the Soutg are essentially returning home, so their ability to do do is greater than that of immigrant Blacks with no family connections.
Funny you have always said that middle class blacks are under represented in the more lucrative parts of NYC's private sector. They dont earn enough to live in the city and so many leave. They then find GA and FL not always offering the opportunities that they expected.
A lot of AAs move back to where they are from and that includes states like Mississippi. They often have relatives to help them settle in.
Because the middle class is the liberal politicians worst nightmare. Get rid of the middle class and the so-called liberal politician knows they'll have full control of everything.
Maybe you are on to something. Hell, you go around the world and in most countries, middle class doesnt even exist. You're either rich or poor, thats it. Hell, maybe America created the middle class in the first place in order to get the taxes......................................lets start using our brains

There are Caribbean populations in Upstate NY(Rochester comes to mind immediately) and there are other jobs besides factory work in other parts of the North(inc. Upstate).
There are also African immigrants/refugees in many other Northern cities/areas as well.
You can find Black people in New Hampshire. But there are few of them. Black people do not move inland in the same numbers that they move South. Of course, any individual should move wherever is best for the individual to move.
But most people leaving NYC (which has bad weather) probably are not going to leave NYC for much colder weather.

Middle Class just acts as a buffer between rich and poor. Middle class is not a new concept, and has been around for centuries. However their was never a term for middle class. The closet thing to middle class was plebeians in ancient Rome for example who did not have the same economic rights as the rich, but not in the same rank as slave and poor class.

I remember some years ago. This black guy did some crime on my block. Liek many of his criminal stock, they have no choice but to return ancestral South or face the wrath of NY state prison complex upstate. The Next day he ran back to his family in the Carolinas. They helped him find a job, he found himself a gf within a few days and within a year he was having a baby. Police caught on to him, and he was arrested. His grandmother was housing a felon from NY. Only if he had a passport he would have been safe, I mean truly safe. Having roots and maintaining roots in America is vastly different than maintaining roots overseas when shtf.

In Rome, only plebeians and patricians existed. Rich and poor. So the scam has been ongoing for centuries. And before you put slaves into the discussion, slaves were slaves and had no rights, so dont try to count them knowingly as a part of society. The middle class was invented in the United States of America as a scam to sustain the taxes.
You think u read a lot of books haha

Let me go to Chicago, LA and Detroit and ask the black residents there if they plan on moving back to ancestral lands of the Deep South? Here in the Northeast, black Americans are from the Carolinas and Georgia, and the Carolinas and Georgia have developed over the years economically. Deep South like Alabama and Mississippi lag behind in many areas. A black American is better off moving to a developing nation like Dominican Republic or Trinidad and Tobago vs moving to Mississippi or Alabama.

Where did you get this notion of the middle class being invented by the United States. Can you send me a Wikipedia article on this?

Mississippi is light years ahead of any developing country, but it's a matter of preference I suppose
