Shutting things down for 90 days is ludicrous and I don’t mean because it’s not fun.... I mean because small businesses left and right will be shutting their doors NEVER coming back! THEY CANT EXIST WITHOUT CUSTOMERS! THIS MEANS UNEMPLOYMENT CATASTROPHE! THIS damage in even 1 week of ZERO Revenue is irreversible. After 90 days it’s terrorizing. This fear is affecting real people. They are out on the street, they won’t be able to cover food transportation utilities and have a roof and food for their little ones. This fear needs to be taken no less seriously than the fear of catching Coronavirus.

So maybe it's true that the Chinese Virus was "weaponized" to destabilize all of the West, knowing their 3,000 deaths within China was a drop in the bucket out of a country with 1.3 BILLION. Necessary collateral damage as some would see it.
Once the West is an economic basket case, come autumn a second virus will be unleashed upon the leadership and select military installations.
Then, as they'll see it, we (the US led West) are nothing more than second string competitors they may well choose to colonize. They may even be willing to provide food shipments and humanitarian aid to us as long as we behave.

Interesting times. Didn't see this coming.

The government is going to "print' up a bunch of money and dump it out on everyone to jumps tart the economy when this is over. In the mean time everything is in suspended animation. Landlords can't evict anyone. No one will be able to file lawsuits. Collections are not going to happen. Everything is just frozen.

Two generic drugs being tested in U.S. in race to find coronavirus treatments

(Reuters) - U.S. researchers, following the lead of scientists in other countries, have launched studies to see whether widely-available, low-cost generic drugs can be used to help treat the illness caused by the new coronavirus.

There are currently no vaccines or treatments for the highly-contagious COVID-19 respiratory illness, so patients can only receive supportive care for now.

But a 1,500-person trial, led by the University of Minnesota, began this week to see whether malaria treatment hydroxychloroquine can prevent or reduce the severity of COVID-19. Two other trials are studying the blood pressure drug losartan as a possible treatment for the disease.

Trump is very hot on this. Fauci not nearly as much. There have been a few drugs that had promise as a Covid-19 treatments. None have panned out. These are still being tested and the results are not in yet,.

It would be nice.

Why wouldn't anyone he "hot" on this? This would be amazing news! Trump or anyone!

Fauci is just more cautious because well thats what doctors and scientists do, for good reason of course.

NYC is getting slammed! How long before NJ, Westchester and Long Island set up barricades to keep people from city out?

One person an hour died yesterday from Coronavirus; and expectations are for that to continue for a period before things get better.

Brooklyn and Queens are on Long Island, Bronx borders several Westchester localities, and Jersey folks have already been in and out NYC, barricades at this point. Cats out the bag.
