Yeah I'm done with the heat too but at least it was dry today and the air was very clear. I wish I'd had a chance to take some pictures. The Santa Ana mountains were so clear.

So true. People in Seattle & Portland complain about the days of clouds\rain & even refer to good weather when there are "sun breaks" for a few minutes. They even get sick\ depressed by the lack of sunshine.

On the other hand, I am also looking forward to some rain & a few cooler days for a change. It's seems every storm falls apart by the time it reaches SoCal & we get maybe 5 minutes of rainfall Later this month it will get cooler & maybe wetter!

Thanks for the feedback everyone and allowing me to vent w/out getting nasty in response. I know it could be worse, but I'm just having a hard time adjusting to no seasons and relatively the same thing everyday. No I don't miss -20 in Anchorage, but I could use some 50-60 temps right now I'm thinking Dallas will be a good fit for my family.

Obviously you are not from the Midwest!
I can't wait to get out there and have some stable weather. This week alone we had a 75 degree and sunny day, yesterday it was 50 and raining all day, and tomorrow its supposed to snow. Horrible.

Yeah, but if the car color is black every piece of dirt is visible! And the "rainfall" we get only smears the dirt rather than wash it away

Hang in there because it will cool down on Sunday w/ some clouds but no rain, I'm afraid. The PacificNW is getting massive amounts of rainfall this week & nothing but sunny skies & warm temps in SoCal.

At least the possibility of home ownership is a reality in the midwest I think I could deal w/ your weather to be able to own a home

Oh, what I would'nt give for a crisp fall day to play in a pile of leaves on the lawn with my kids, followed by hot chocolate & football.

I never miss the east in the winter, but Fall always makes me yearn for four seasons again.

want affordability, big city, opportunities, beach access, home ownership?
TRY HOUSTON!
On the weather side summers are hell there and winters a little colder than SoCal. Before home prices started to fall here in Cal I wanted to move there. Check out The Woodlands, TX (by Houston)
Good Luck!

But I know that is too much to ask for
We are enjoying a beautiful fall here in TX. That is one of the things we enjoy most since moving here last year from Irvine CA. Having weather is nice for a change.
