Today was barely 70F for the first time in several weeks & this week should stay cool with periods of rain!

It's gotta be! My little guy saw snow coming down and he didn't want to go out for our morning walk! He kept wanting to run back inside!

Luckily, it all melted by noon time, or I'd have to beg and plead with him to go outside again!

When I lived near Monument, CO (EL 7300 feet) on the Palmer Divide between COS and DEN, it was 53F and I was on my deck with shorts and no shirt sweating in February. Quite common. It's the Colorado sun.

Then again, here's one of my daughters playing soccer - in May.

"April showers bring May blizzards."

No like Charles said, cause of the elevation the sun is no joke warm even on the cooler days. In HR, where I live we're at 5900 ft up. Its a lot different being so close to the sun here. Im not one of those crazy wearing shorts in the winter people, Im from CA it cant be.

3 years ago we went to Santa Cruz in Oct and there were some people on a overcast cold day in the ocean. Really? Im not like that.

Wow, Charles and tew, I guess it has to be the elevation in CO. When it's 58 degrees in Chicago, I'm still wearing my hoodie jacket and pants. No tank tops for me until it reaches 80!

Charles those May blizzard photos are great! Those kids didn't seem to mind at all.

I have great memories of my visit to CO. Clean, dry (in a very good way) and friendly people!

I think it is the lack of humidity. 53F and humid feels a lot colder than 53F and dry.
