Do you have a set day for grocery shopping ? Beore I retired we would shop on Thur. It was the highlight of my week and I really don't know why. I dislike shopping for anything else.
When you were growing up did your Mom have a set day ? I have a hard time remembering what I did yesterday, trying to recall anything from 50 years ago is just too taxing.
Who uses the same day that Mom did ?

Set up the same way as when you were growing up ? Define "set up"? We have a stove, sink, refrigerator, cabinets and counters. Set up your own way ? I have a microwave, dishwasher, stand mixer, electric jar opener, coffee grinder and every kitchen gadget known to mankind. I'm sure my mom didn't have that.

lol did you know or have to go look ? This one gave me a little trouble. Since Mrs D can no longer use stairs we are using the 1/2 bath on the 1st floor but then I realized it and the bath in the master BR are on the right. The other 2, one front one left.

Do you know where to find your House water main ? To keep the bathroom theme going, if you are on the "throne" in the basement, get up walk through the door and the water shutoff is about 5 ft in front of you. Electric breaker panel ? Starting fron same position as above, get up, turn left, exit other door. Breaker panel is about 15ft straight ahead to the left of the window.
Do you know how to turn these on and off ? Yes Last time you had to do this ? Turned the water off when I installed the shower in the basement bath about 3 years ago. I have never turned off the main breaker. I turned the smoke detector circuit off last week when my older son replaced our smoke detectors. You shouldn't have to replace things in a house you want to sell.

Have you ever been to a : (If yes,where was it) Flower Show ? Yes, as an exhibitor selling equip used in the industry. Believe it or not it was on Navy Pier in Chicago. I've also been to the Steel Pier in Atlantic and a bunch of others. Outdoor concert ? Only as a performer. Nancy and I have done several outdoor concerts either by ourselves or as part of a day long Gospel Music fest. Convention ?Don't think so. Casino ?Again in a work capacity. Working on their equip.

Grocery shopping day?
My mother didn't have a "set" day and neither do I. Often it ends up being Saturday because
since I work full-time, that's the only time I can go except in the evening or brief trips at lunch.
Unlike, studedude above, I like most all kinds of shopping, but I absolutely detest grocery shopping. Could be because
I am not interested in food per se and even less in cooking it! (I am interested in eating, however!)

No, my kitchen is not set up like my mothers and has changed probably everytime we've moved and had a
different kitchen.

We had to turn off the water when the hot water tank leaked all over the floor a few weeks ago.
Had to shut off the electric panel while we figured out why the dishwasher was turning on and heating up all by itself. (It's been non functional for months)
