1. Facebook [checked it just last year....Dec 2010]
2. Twitter....sorry don't twit, or tweet or whatever.
3. Myspace..... I THINK I have one.....I remember it from a couple of years ago.
4. Cellphone....that's the thing that takes messages for me that I never remember to check isn't it?
I have a FB, but that's only because a large portion of my friends travel a lot and most don't have cell phones. They keep in contact by dropping by Internet cafes and updating their FB
As for a smartphone, I have an iPhone and the only reason I got that is because I got sick of my boss thinking I was incompetent because I didn't have libraries of jet maintenance procedures and 35,000 part numbers memorized. Now, I can look it up immediately and I don't have to worry about it.
Cell phone -- I don't think badly of this person. But I would wonder about his or her ability to function in business.
Facebook -- Not a problem. I am on FB. But to me, it's not that big of a deal if someone doesn't use it.
Twitter -- I have a Twitter account that I almost never use. In fact, I've found that Twitter is very limited. The people who are big Twitter users seem, to me, to be very narcissistic. I just don't want to know your opinion on every. single. thing.
Keep researching. I found your statements on the people who don't use FB to be highly prejudicial. Were I reading a thesis with those opinions submitted as facts or conclusions I'd have a LOT of questions for the author. (In fact I found the statements to be so flawed I just glanced at the rest of your post. Sorry.)
(Free advice. Aren't you lucky?)
Your opinion and advice are pretty useless in a wider study. You should have read the entire post before commenting. You can't read the first paragraph and submit that as the conclusion of the author.
I wonder, even though I am involved, if this has become a more convenient way for government and nosy corporations to keep tabs and make unfair judgements about us,
since every other man woman and child, no matter what area, can be seen obliviously texting, googling and facebooking every detail of their lives, wherever you gaze...??
