Yesterday afternoon while waiting for Mrs Aks to do her shopping, I was comfortable in a seating area near the customer service desk in the department when I noticed another woman would completed her transaction and dropped a credit card from her pocket. As she started to walk away, I went over picked up the card and gave it to her. She was very happy and thankful but concerned now that she might have lost another one that she couldn’t find in her pockets. Not a good place to carry loose cards,,,, however she was happy to get the credit card back and thanked me. Someone has to have a nice day, I only hope she finds the other card.

Our friends are coming over to dinner in a bit; we'll start with some "adult beverages" and then have a turkey that DH is cooking on the rotisserie (grill), along with stuffed sweet potatoes, tomato salad, green beans, cranberry sauce, pickles, olives, home made boule bread and home made cookies for dessert.

We always have a great time with them and I can't wait to eat all this great food! mmmmmmmm

I went to volunteer at Feed My Starving Children, and apparently, my team had packed about 22,000 something thousand food for 68 (I believe) children in the Philippines (which it will last them about 4 years or so). That's a VERY good thing!

Just got back from the rehab center visiting a neighbor. Less than a month ago she was in the hospice center, in a coma, not expected to ever open her eyes again. Tonight she was sitting in the dining room when we got there, eating her dessert. While we were visiting, another friend of hers stopped in and she introduced us to each other. She was so proud, she walked about 25-30 feet today, with assistance, but still it was a walk. She was talking about going home soon, she hoped. I truly defy anyone to say that there is no such thing as a miracle.

Thumbs up Shopping for bargains.

Another shopping day but this should be the last for a while. I was very happy with finding a new suit on sale at Dillards. It was originally marked at $700 but I paid only $150. I also got two shirts $49.50 and 37.00 at $14.50 and $11.50. Life is good when you find a bargain that you can actually use.

I had a headache all day and it seemed as if I were under invisible stress, but now I am pain free and I thank God for that. It's all good!

Love the rain and cooler weather that blew in this weekend. My allergies are much better and I can enjoy the days without issues.

Today, we had an awesome service as we were celebrating our pastor's recovery from a heart attack! The doctor said that he did not have any permanent heart damage! That is definitely a miracle! Praise God for His miraculous, mighty hand!

Great news Chatteress.

Week 2 of Cardiac Rehab starts for me tomorrow. This afternoon I went for a 2 mile walk that included a trip up to the top of the Railroad Bridge on my normal walking route. Haven't done that for almost a year. Was out in short sleeves today. Yesterday it was still a winter coat and stocking cap. This April weather in the midwest is just wonderful.
