Mrs Aks put together her homemade spaghetti sauce and meatballs with some hot Italian sausage. Nothing better than leftover spaghetti sauce to enjoy for the next few days!

And DH is making cookies...I think we could make a dinner deal, here, Aks. I'd even throw in a bottle or two of wine....

Went for a nice walk this morning after some rain overnight. Met a couple of new doggies and stopped to chat with some friends. A nice start to the day.

I observed love... I was waiting outside the courthouse and I saw a rather unattractive woman my American standards for sure. She weighted in the neighborhood of 380. She had on an outfit that emphasized every bump and bulge. And she was not proportionate at all. And then a nice looking man got out of his truck hugged her real good with both arms giving her a little pat on the backside and then he kissed her neck. They walked away hand and hand. It was obvious he cared for her and was proud to be with her. I guess beauty is really in the eyes of the beholder and I am glad I got to see a living example.

^^ Good observation! It’s interesting to watch other people and see how they interact in our society, I see some of the strangest things both good and bad. It’s nice to witness some of the “better” interactions and “realize” something positive about it. Our society seems to have too much negative and lacks “observing” positive issues and things that go on around us. Well done Sun Queen!

On another note, I was happy to complete some volunteer work painting the common block wall around our neighborhood that runs along the main street. It was in desperate need of repair painting in some areas caused by sprinkler straying water on the other side of the wall. I and another neighbor friend spent the last couple of weeks (off and on different days) prepping the areas that needed attention. And today it’s completed.

We went to my Uncle Jack's burial in east Texas yesterday. It rained all the way there and all the way back. 140 miles one way.

But it didn't rain at the cemetery. I think Jack pulled some strings for that to happen.

I went to the grocery store and they had eggs on clearance... so I bought a dozen and when I got to the register the eggs only cost .35. I left out of there feeling like I got the deal of the century.
