I don't think dislike necessarily means hate.
Some people find children annoying, needy, exasperating, distracting . . .
(they are!)
Some people don't want to have children themselves.
Some people don't care for babies but enjoy older kids and teenagers or vice versa enjoy babies but get frustrated with older kids and teenagers.
I think sometimes we are so quick to take offense for a particular group - we jump a little too quickly. I like being a father and enjoy my children, but I know many, including my brother fall into some of the above categories. I don't think that makes them haters, or bad people.
I think anyone who would say "I dislike children" is rather foolish....because unless you've met every child out there...it sounds more like prejudice to me
Sounds like giving them up for adoption would have been a great option for you!
I can't give them up for adoption. If I don't keep them they go to their dad. And he is not competent enough to take care of himself, so there is no way I would allow him to have my kids.
Enough to have taken care of them for the past 12 years.
