It's very telling, this prevailing American-centrist point of view that naturally every single household in America has a computer and an internet connection, and every single child, teenager, and adult has a cell phone with or without internet access.
For Heaven's sake, people...
Do you mean you have never googled the fact that MOST human beings on this PLANET do not have phones, televisions, or internet connectivity?
Try it.
.
If you google that, you find that there are 6.8 billion mobile phone subscriptions in the world.
There is almost the same number of mobile phone users as people on the planet. 2/3 of americans have smartphones and 90% of people making more than the average salary in the USA have them.
I have to agree with the others who suggest the "shocking" part of the OP is that the teen has physical "porno mags."
Many of us women do too. I watched porn as a teenage girl... I'm older now and still watch (and make some occasionally). Not many would admit that either though.
How old is the teen? If I found this sort of stuff in my 18 year old's room I would ignore it.
That would be lot's better than what i had in my room in the closet. 12 sticks of 80% Red Head dynamite and 10 blasting caps. What an absolute IDIOT i was! The only thing i knew about the stuff i found was what i had seen on tv etc. On the farm blasting stumps tv etc.
I was going on vacation at Christmas and i knew mom would be searching my room for anything like the good mother she was. I got rid of it to an old farmer that has since died years ago. I came back from vacation and my whole room had been rearranged and totally cleaned.
Mom's keep your eye on the boys and girls.
PS: This was about more than 47 years ago. Times have changed a bit but kids don't need Dynamite!
Notice I said this boy does not need therapy for looking at girlie mags. I protest the use of these materials on moral grounds. Surely you have moral lines you would like your children not to cross as well.
Yes, I KNOW QUITE A FEW TEENS AND SAID THAT IN RESPONSE TO THE QUESTION OF SEXUAL ACTIVITY NOT LOOKING AT MAGAZINES.
You conveniently ignored the part where I said I am 100% honest with my boys about sex, pregnancy, STDs, etc along with how to treat women.
Moral grounds? Are you saying that a boy looking at girlie photos is immoral? Is it also a sin, blasphemous? Fire and brimstone, going to strike them down for seeing sexually explicit photos? Are they going to go blind? Since when? Since maybe people before the 1950's might have thought, but Magritte, this is 2015! Sorry, but you sound either extremely religious, (which is your choice and I respect and will back down) or extremely prudish about sex, and naive about teenage boys.
I totally agree with being honest to kids about sex, pregnancy and the correct way to treat women. Sorry I missed that part. I didn't ignore it.

She finds it immoral because she believes that the industry is exploitative, that there is slave trade in trafficked women, or desperate women in desperate straits winding up in the industry because they ran out of choices, she feels that the industry is bad for women.
In plenty of cases, I imagine she's right. And in almost all cases, a guy will have no idea (and no concern) if the vid he's watching is a girl who is quite willingly participating, or one who was bought and sold, or one who was abducted, or one who was addicted to drugs, etc etc. You just don't know.
There are some of these ladies who have made fortunes and done incredibly well for themselves, and are movers and shakers on their own these days, and I think it's safe to say one could watch, say, Asia Carrera's vids, with a very clear conscience indeed. But there is no way to be sure for most of what you find online, if it's on the up and up, or no.
I may not entirely agree with her stance, but I get it.

I object on moral grounds based on the fact that many men and women who are in the sex industry are not there by choice.
I'm neither religious or a prude. One needn't enjoy pornography to enjoy a healthy, sexual relationship.

I just wanted to jump in here and point out, regarding the exploitative nature of online pornography, and without coming across as being too knowledgeable about such things, I would strongly suggest that the majority of online pornography available is of the Amateur variety. Most wankers are not paying for it and most participants ain't being paid. In fact, I really don't know who the heck would pay for it when millions of photos and hundreds of thousands of hours of Amateur and Professional hardcore porno is available for free. Like anything, all you gotta do is google it!
Just saying.
