If you don't like to travel, then there's probably no reason to even consider the high annual fee cards. Are there ANY $450+ AF credit card that aren't focused on travel perks?

No I never travel and really don't want too. I didn't realize these were for travel. I just knew I am so far away from anyone who can afford a $450 annual fees league it isn't funny. I am happy people can afford this, I just can't.

not that i can think of. if you dont care about travel, then i would say getting a 2% cash back card like fidelity visa and citi double cash is a no brainer.

Those or the USAA Limitless Cashback Visa if you are eligible. 2.5% CB on everything.

This is probably one of the more intriguing offers I ever seen.

You get .10 per debit purchase and 2.5% on CC purchases with no limit. I would just move my checking to USAA.

$50,000 a year would be $1,250 + whatever debit card purchased.

Maybe

I'm closing in on one year with the Sapphire Reserve. I'm seriously thinking of downgrading to the Sapphire Preferred card or some other no fee card. I'm finding that I'm getting better value transferring my points to United than I would booking directly through the Chase portal, even with the 50% bump. Since Ultimate Reward points are transferred to airline partners 1:1 regardless of the card type, it doesn't make sense to pay the $450 a second time.

One nice perk that I wasn't expecting, I'm starting to get travel credits a second time before getting charged the annual fee a second time. So 100,000 points plus $600 in travel credits for paying $450 one time... not a bad deal.
