SJ does not look like Delco for many reasons. SJ is more independent... It does not answer to Harrisburg for one thing. It even has its own separate radio stations like South Jersey's Own Radio 104.9 with news about SJ, Sj traffic, weather and other information. Our traffic pattern is different. We have far less rail service and people commute more between various SJ towns than to Philly or Penn. Cherry Hill, Marlton, Moorestown, Voorhees, and AC are job centers in their own right and draw primarily from people living in SJ.

In terms of where people commute, of course their are plenty of South Jersey residents that commute to Philly but the fact that we have a suburb to suburb commuter rail line in South Jersey speaks volume.

No way in hell is South Jersey more independent than Delco. It didn't even exist outside of a few older communities until what, 50 years ago? Delaware County, almost in its entirety, has existed for every bit as long as Philadelphia has. How is 104.9 a Jersey station? It's alternative rock. And yeah, that's not likely at all. And by the way, how did those "job centers" come about again? Oh, that's right.. because of Philadelphia. Also, don't include AC in with those other places. It's in Atlantic County.

Delaware County is far more independent than South Jersey has ever been. The only reason anybody from Delco commutes to Philadelphia is because Delco lost so many of its industrial jobs. Who gives a crap if we have a radio or TV station or not?

I also never said South Jersey looked like Delco. I said it reminded me of southern Delco and of Bucks County. South Jersey is far too sprawled out and new to look like Delco.

Damn i ment to say 104.5... sorry for that. SJ is very old, parts of its were settled by the Sweedish. Towns like haddonfield, Burlington, and Salem are very old. Lots of places in SJ are old.. it has old sprawl and new... i think the fact that you rarely come over hear speaks volumes about what you think of SJ. Just because u dont explore it does not mean it does not exisit. SO SHUT UP>
