Monsoon season is one of the times I do miss living in Tucson...they have the lower temps and actually get some real wild weather! I remember one year getting stuck in a street behind my apt complex b/c there was so much rain people garbage bins were floating down the street and I actually lost the bumper of my car! And that was in the city!

Our moving truck is arriving on July 7th at 10am so I am going to say that is when the rain will start...because I have that kind of luck (July 7th is also my b-day and I love a good lightning show).

No rain for the 4th of July.

So much for my psychic powers.

So I shouldn't turn on the drip irrigation this week? Woo Hoo. (I'm going to hold you to that, you know.)

My local weather report (Verde Valley) says 20% for rain on Sat. and 30% for Sun. so I'd say it's a good bet for the entire weekend!

This is how I figured it out for the Verde Valley...10%, lots of clouds and no precip. 20%, the same but more and darker clouds and MAYBE a few sprinkles. One day last week I counted FOUR spots on the sidewalk. lol 30%, 'some' rain...usually a nice light shower. 40%, a gulleywasher!!

This has pretty much proved out right for my 'guesses' over the years. So, I'm not expecting a whole lot over the weekend but I sure would like to be proven wrong!! Actually I do believe we get more rain than Phoenix. Maybe because of our high mountains and valley situation.

We already had a downpour here in central Phx the other night - in fact just in time for my bday. LOL count it or don't it already happened ~ funny thread.
It is a bit cloudy today but not the big cumulus of the monsoon variety.
