I need to get out of my lease
I rented a apartment and foolishly signed a 12 month leae. I ask when I rented it if the air was central a/c she explained to me that it was chilled air but just like central a/c. I have only lived here for 3 weeks and I have ask her over and over again to fix my air. As of yet has it to be done. my apartment stays between 84 and 94 degrees. when it rains it is cooler outside. I pour sweat all day long and I am miserable. What do you think I can do?
I rented a separate apt. but it was covered in roaches and I live on the 2nd floor with no screens or window locks. My 6 year old daughter has been caught hanging out the window 3 times. I have filled out a paper and told her I wanted to break the lease and I just couldn't continue to live in this sauna. I am a juvenile diabetic and have encountered a lot of low blood sugars due to the heat. I live in az and it is over 100 degrees so you can imagine how much I would like to come home to a cool house. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

The cooling is one issue, and your medical issues are one thing, but why is your daughter caught hanging out the window...I think you need to pay better attention to your child...

No joke there.

Humidity coupled with temps much above 75F kicks my ass up one side and down the other whereas out 105F @ 15% is not bad at all.

I agree on the humidity part, but you act like 105 is a walk in the park. That is ridiculously hot humidity or not! No a/c in 105 would be intolerable.

First of all if it is in the upper 70s, no matter how humid, that is NOWHERE close to feeling as uncomfortable as 105 degrees. Plus, Phoenix hardly ever is 105 in the summer, at least not this summer. Its more typically 112, and I was known as a heat worshipper, until I couldn't take it any longer and moved back to New York after one year (and couldn't be happier).

Its was 102 here in Seattle. 102 here feels a lot hotter than 115 in Phoenix. Makes my legs stick together. (I could lose about 20 pounds). I have never felt it so hot here in my lifetime.

Probably because you are not used to it?

Stay away from Phoenix heat for only a couple weeks, and 100 can feel horrible.
