Saturday morning was even colder than this morning. I was home in Phoenix for the weekend and it's colder than LA! I love the 60 something temps!

Well let's hope that forecast for Tuesday is wrong. Or at least that it doesn't last the whole time I'm there!

And when they say cloudy, do they actually mean cloudy? Or is a Minnesota cloudy different than an Arizona cloudy?

LOL! And actually only sometimes cloudy like Minnesota or even Washington. Usually there are some thin clouds and the sun teases us.

When I was in the Air Force and stationed in Chandler, I was surprised how cold it was especially in the mornings this time of year.

Where you stationed at Williams (technically in Mesa btw)? I've never met anyone that was stationed there while I was in the Air Force; but then it was shut down ages ago...LOL! Mornings are cold...

That's a pretty far out forecast. It could very well change. I was looking at longer range models just now and they have a wet storm right at Christmas. Yesterday, there was nothing on the models as I recall. Anyway, typically in PHX area even the storms are so-so with broken clouds and little rain. A real cloudy day - northwoods style with that dreary sky and hazy air - is a rarity.

Don't some of you ever get enough sunshine??? Good grief! This cloudy, cool, moist weather is FANTASTIC! Plus, it's actually normal for this time of year. December on average is one of the wettest months in Phoenix, and I think it's the month with the least amount of sunny days. Don't worry all you sun lovers, next week is supposed to be warm & sunny with temps in the 70s.

The only thing that is somewhat disappointing to me is that it hasn't been wet enough. So far this year, Phoenix has recorded slightly over three inches of rain, making it one of the DRIEST years on record. We need all the moisture we can get at this point. The big storm last week brought severe weather & high winds, but only light to moderate rain to most of Phoenix ... and the forecast was for heavy rains & flooding. There was supposed to be more rain on Thursday & Friday, but that fizzled out. Today's rain was beautiful, but I wish it would have been more.

We were out getting our Christmas tree and it was raining a bit and dreary looking. I guess that was as close to "White Christmas" as we're going to get. I'll be glad to see old Sol again tomorrow.

No way, more and more sun please! It releases the happy chemicals naturally. It is supposed to be exactly 70° for a few days before getting cold again. 70° in Phoenix isn't warm either; especially in the winter where cloudless, low humid days make it feel cooler especially at night. Have a feeling we will be getting rain often this winter. Generally, Phoenix doesn't need rain but our mountains need snow and they are certainly getting that...
