Skyline isn't exactly a splurge, though. It's fast-food chili, not so much a place you'd go for a special occasion unless you're 10.

Obviously you've never met me. I'm basically white-trash with better hygiene.

Sounds like Cranberry would work.

I've only had Jeni's two or three times. Not only is it overpriced, it's not that good. I knew there was cornstarch in it the second I tasted it.
I don't recall it being any more expensive than any other ice cream scoop shops. I don't know what corn starch tastes like, unfortunately.

So we're not getting a chain restaurant that plays country music, works for me, two things I avoid.

I've never been to TK, but I did go to Hooters once when I was 40, and was one of the oldest people in the joint.

If TK is geared toward the same crowd, I suspect that they have a target demographic of people in their 20's as well, not older men.

It stands to reason that ice cream that's twice as expensive (or nearly so) by the pint will also cost twice as much (or nearly so) in a scoop shop. The only scoop shop I go to is B&J near the U. of Pennsylvania, where a double scoop costs $5. So Jeni's could be $10 in their scoop shops.

It is $4.65 for 2 scoops. So yes, the $10 for a pint isn't too bad when comparing it to that. However, you can choose multiple flavors in the scoop shops i.e. a scoop of salted caramel and a scoop of pistachio & honey.
