Who would or could justify graffiti in downtown? Do you think that black people have a love affair with graffiti? Most of the wanted criminals during the protest were young and white. Most of them did not live in the city to begin with. Who set that police car on fire? Who abused the police horses with protest signs? Those white boys escalated the situation. Or were these black children in white face makeup?

People are paid based on what they can do, what they provide the company. It's supply and demand. If you are easily replaced, you don't get paid much. If you are more valuable to the company/government, you are paid more. As I recall bank workers have always been a dime a dozen and very easily replaced by people looking for their first job. Ditto for county/city employees. They aren't paid much anywhere in the country but they often have good job security and benefits. Federal workers do better, but their max salaries usually aren't what they could make in the private sector.

It's not exactly rock science. It's basic economics. No one is under any obligation to pay you as you think you should be paid. It's not up to you, the market determines what you are worth.
