Not only that, but today the Roman Catholics condemn the Inquisition because it violated modern standards of justice. During the Middle Ages, few criticized it.
Not so, today, with radical Islam. Still going on for them.
During the middle ages, those who were brave enough to criticize it were tortured, denounced, imprisoned or banished. See Davinci for a case in point.
You have no will to look for yourself, otherwise it would require you to look beyond what is handed to you, and that simply wouldn't do. Why do that, when you can be told what to think or how to feel?
Nice try. There is a reason there are people who can examine history from an impassionate perspective, and learn from mistakes, and those who can't.

Lord, the DaVinci Code? With all the unfactual junk! Are you kidding? LOL!
But, yes, during the Middle Ages they were afraid to speak up. The "indulgences" and other operations of the Catholic Church were wrong - totally wrong. We can see and weigh that with the Word of God.
Can't do that with the Koran. Violence is encouraged.
Big deal, it happens in war. What about all the women and children Islam has killed throughout it's history?
Tell you what. Why don't we set up a Christian versus Muslim scoreboard and go down through the course of history and see who killed the most people. Would that make you feel better?
All the that is done or is being done in the name of religion is WRONG!

So you're saying, that some Christians may have killed some Muslims in South East Asia and that equates to it being ok that Muslims attack everyone that they do? Oh please.......

Yes it is wrong, so stop making excuses for Islam.
Um, what about the millions of people Christians have killed throughout history.
Let's stick to what's happening now

I'd wager to bet that Christians have killed way more people than Muslims.
In the name of Christianity? That would be tough to prove.

If this is your argument, then you've got a problem. I'm not condoning Muslim violence, neither do most Muslims. Imam Rauf isn't condoning the terrorist attacks, but is explaining some of the reasons behind them.
He's justifying the attacks. And the US has a far longer record of purposefully saving Muslims than of purposefully killing them. The Kurds and ethnic Albanians come to mind immediately.
