Yes.

As long as you don't get between them and any of that garbage, they really couldn't care less that the country is getting sold down the river.
Yes.

It doesn't! Who is trying to get us out of the wars, who established a Deficit Commission to develop ways to deal with the deficit, when the Senate would not?

It is pretty easy to get out of wars, one way is to not keep sending more troops.

Also,if you aren't in favor of more wars,it doesn't make sense to bomb other nations.

Borrowing more money and increasing spending aren't the best ways to reduce debt.

And? They are still first world countries with citizens who go about their days in a relatively comfortable safe existence.

If the U.S. became the same international stature as France would we be suffering?

That is what I am asking...

If the USA had as much influence as France and it's impact on the world was as great as France has now, would you be fine with it?

France has pretty significant power, especially in the former French colonies in Africa which are more or less puppet states of France anyways. France also has a relatively large modern military. The Foreign Legion and the Troupes de Marine (French overseas troops) are excellent troops.

I hate to say it, but when it comes down to the invidual soldiers - most European forces are just as good, if not better trained then our forces. The biggest difference is that they don't have the overwhelming technology edge and the huge budgets that let them have the large numbers of tanks, planes, ships, etc that we have. If you put a British Royal Marine or a Korps Mariner (Royal Netherlands Marines) against a US Marine I think the US Marine would be on the losing side. Their basic training is almost twice as long as what our marines undergo.

The USA's fall from power.
And the socialist liberals couldn't be happier. That's why they voted for America-hating Obama in the first place: to guarantee that USA falls and communist China becomes the new world power. God help us all the day that happens.

True. However the UK for example has stated it cannot project military power without the USA's help.

I would agree.

Something that is becoming increasingly more difficult to pay for.

Royal Marines serve a different purpose to Marines here.

Some would say that the turning point of the downfall was the nationalistic militaristic charge to go into nation building after 9/11, which neo conservatives have their hands in that.

As far as "communism", American corporations gone global don't care about that, money is what talks. While everybody is squabling over liberal vs conservative, democrat vs republican, capitalist vs communist, the corporations just care about the money and where to best make it.
