Of course they do. What would you do with your day if you couldn't incessantly post about how horrible "TEH LEFT" is.

Apparently the "left" gives you a purpose in life.

You can take Hitler off that list. He was a member of the flock. Don't want to claim him? That's too bad but he was a Catholic.

Oregon orders state custody for the child of Christian faith healers. In Oregon city a judge has ruled that a couple belonging to a faith healing church must surrender their child to the state for failing to provide medical care. Thursday, Clackamas County Circuit Judge Douglas V. Van Dyk gave the state temporary custody of the child and ordered medical treatment as directed by doctors at Oregon Health & Science University.
The parents, Timothy J. Wyland, 44, and Rebecca J. Wyland, 23, of Beavercreek Oregon, appeared in court without an attorney. The age, condition and identity of the child was not released. The couple are members of the Followers of Christ church.
The 1,200-member Followers of Christ church rejects modern medicine for the treatment of illnesses and disease. Instead, the church teaches members to rely on faith-healing rituals such as the laying on of hands, anointing with oil, prayer and fasting.
The church is no stranger to media attention. Members of the congregation have made a habit of watching their children die rather than seek medical attention.
Last February Jeffrey and Marci Beagley were found guilty for the criminally negligent homicide of their 16-year-old son, Neil. Instead of seeking medical attention for an easily treatable condition, the Beagley's chose prayer, with tragic and fatal consequence for their son.

One couple punishes a misbehaving child by withholding food, and she dies. They go to prison for murder. Another couple withholds medical treatment from their child and she dies. The wife gets off scot-free, and the husband goes to jail (not prison) for just sixty days. Why no prison? Because they're Christians.

Was it lack of intent? No, in fact, the parents, Carl and Raylene Worthington, knew exactly what they were doing, and did it deliberately.

Were they ignorant? No, in fact the Christ Church to which they belong has a long history of children dying from medical neglect. Christ Church is such a problem that the Oregon Legislature has passed laws specifically aimed at the church's practices. The Worthingtons knew their daughter might die from their neglect.

We've talked long enough about faith healing in Oregon. We've shared countless earnest conversations about religious liberty and parental rights.

The time for words is over. Now it's time for pictures.

Another couple from the Followers of Christ church in Oregon City stand accused of criminal mistreatment for deliberately withholding medical care from their child. Timothy and Rebecca Wyland of Beavercreek believe in treating sickness with prayer rather than medicine, even when prayer doesn't work.

Their infant daughter, Alayna, has a serious eye problem, which they chose not to treat. Someone notified authorities and the state intervened, and now the Wylands are trying to regain custody of their daughter.

Dale Neumann, 47, was convicted in the March 23, 2008, death of his daughter, Madeline, from undiagnosed diabetes. Prosecutors contended he should have rushed the girl to a hospital because she couldn't walk, talk, eat or drink. Instead, Madeline died on the floor of the family's rural Weston home as people surrounded her and prayed.
Someone called 911 when she stopped breathing.

The Catholic sex abuse cases are an ongoing series of scandals in the Catholic Church related to sex crimes committed by Catholic priests and members of religious orders, while under diocesan control or in orders that care for the sick, or teach children.[1] These cases began receiving public attention beginning in the mid-1980s.[2] The attention led to criminal prosecutions of the abusers and to civil lawsuits against the church's dioceses and parishes where abuse was alleged to have occurred.
Sexual abuse of minors in the priesthood has received significant media attention in Canada, Ireland, the United States, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Belgium, France, and Germany, while cases have been reported throughout the world.
In addition to cases of actual abuse, much of the scandal has focused around members of the Catholic hierarchy who did not report abuse allegations to the civil authorities and who, in many cases, reassigned the offenders to other locations where the alleged predators continued to have contact with minors and had opportunities to continue to sexually abuse children.[3] In defending their actions, some bishops and psychiatrists contended that the prevailing psychology of the times suggested that people could be cured of such behavior through counseling.[citation needed] Members of the church hierarchy have argued that media coverage has been excessive.[4]

DALLAS (AP) - An international movement of Roman Catholic priests out of countries where they have been accused of abusing children has continued even after the abuse scandal that swept the U.S. church in 2002, the Dallas Morning News found in a year-long investigation. Hundreds of priests accused of abuse have been moved from country to country, allowing them to start new lives in unsuspecting communities and continue working in church ministries, the newspaper reported in Sunday editions.
The priests lead parishes, teach and continue to work in settings that bring them into contact with children despite church claims to the contrary, the newspaper said.

The Catholic sex-abuse stories emerging every day suggest that Catholics have a much bigger problem with child molestation than other denominations and the general population. Many point to peculiarities of the Catholic Church (its celibacy rules for priests, its insular hierarchy, its exclusion of women) to infer that there's something particularly pernicious about Catholic clerics that predisposes them to these horrific acts. It's no wonder that, back in 2002—when the last Catholic sex-abuse scandal was making headlines—a Wall Street Journal-NBC News poll (http://www.online.wsj.com/documents/poll-20020411.html - broken link) found that 64 percent of those queried thought Catholic priests "frequently'' abused children.

Question Did they kill in the name of atheism to convert the religious?

1. Hitler was a Catholic and was responsible for many more than 11 million deaths.

"Hitler considered himself a Catholic until the day he died. In 1941 he told Gerhard Engel, one of his generals: "I am now as before a Catholic and will always remain so." In fact, Hitler was never excommunicated from the Catholic Church, and Mein Kampf was not placed on the Church's Index of Forbidden Books.
As for atheism, Hitler specifically opposed it in a 1933 speech in Berlin: "We were convinced that the people need and require this faith. We have therefore undertaken the fight against the atheistic movement, and that not merely with a few theoretical declarations: we have stamped it out."

Hitler's Christianity

2. Stalin was an alum of the Russian Orthodox seminary in Georgia.

"At ten, he began attending church school where the Georgian children were forced to speak Russian. By the age of twelve, two horse-drawn carriage accidents left his left arm permanently damaged. At sixteen, he received a scholarship to a Georgian Orthodox seminary, where he rebelled against the imperialist and religious order. Though he performed well there, he was expelled in 1899 after missing his final exams. The seminary's records suggest he was unable to pay his tuition fees."

3. Mao - please provide your evidence.

4. Pol Pot - please provide supporting evidence.

Placing Hitler as an atheist is wrong, but saying something strongly about him being Catholic doesn't make it a fact either.

Hitler organized the Protestant Reich Church, was cohabiting with Eva Braun, and rarely or never attended Mass. That combined with his support of "Positive Christianity" made him basically a heretic. So okay you have a solid case he was a lapsed heretical Catholic, but by some definitions so was Martin Luther.

Don't misunderstand there are plenty of actual dictators who were actually Catholic. And there's several who were atheists. People just pick Hitler to be this that or the other because he's got name recognition those people don't. Although I think Franco (Catholic) and Mao (atheist) are famous enough it really shouldn't be that necessarily to play the Hitler deal.

On Mao's atheism.

If you ask the Pope which tradition of Christianity is 'correct' his answer will be? Easy enough to take pot shots at the man when he's the only denomination that has such a visible public profile. Each denomination believes they are correct, each of them have kernels of truth that need to be taken into account, and I think if those hiding out under the catch all blanket of Christendom for nefarious purpose could be scrutinized in earnest.... when you have rebuke coming from the majority of the denominations pointed at another denomination it's a clear sign to me. It's a fuzzy legal question, and the inaction of denominations to address just how many charlatans/ 'false prophets' exist in America... that needs to get solved or real Christians wind up getting punished for non christians.

All that said, not that I'm in any stretch of the imagination a saint, can you recognize me as being in many ways different from those you take issue? Am I able to hear out atheist views fairly without losing my identity as a Christian? How many times have you seen me attack them or come at anyone with intentions of conversion? I accept that my maker brought to this earth gays, atheists, Buddhists et al for a reason, and I truly believe those reasons if we hold ourselves to truthful standards discipline, will ultimately heal humans. Don't allow your anger to cloud your judgment and perpetuate injustice. Point at the behavior you personally reject and allow them to own it. The truth is the first casualty in competing brands of dehumanization (extremism).
I don't believe any religious mumbo-jumbo.
I don't believe in a "maker" or anything else.
I don't care what you believe, I just want you to believe it and leave the entire rest of the world out of it.
I don't want to hear about religion or have it part of my laws or culture.
I think all religion is evil and manipulative.

But, if you say you're christian, I'll believe you are and hold you (generic) to your hypocrisy.
No one can say that you're not what you profess to be.

People are what they are.
