The republicans turn to show no leadership and bring the country and economy to a grinding halt because they can't even agree amongst themselves on a new budget. The government is going to shut down because Boehner can't get the votes. Too many individuals in the republican party.

Perhaps you could list the many many times democrats have compromised with republicans? If you could, it would make your continuing irrationality regarding the house majority party, elected in a landslide, more plausible.

epic fail... d*mn not given

The Republicans did agree and did pass a budget, the Democrats have passed nothing, nada, zilch. HR1, passed back in February by the House - Senate has done nothing with it. Looks like the Democrats have shown no leadership and are bringing this country and economy to a grinding halt because they even agree amongst themselves on a budget.

Whats asinine is you not knowing the deficits under Obama are TEN TIMES WORSE THAN BUSHS..
Btw, lets compare the number of wars created by both President illegally? How do you do the math on
Bush = 0 Obama = 1..

Unless of course you can show me Congressional authorization for Obamas attacks.. CAN YOU?

Clearly you got one thing correct.. They dont pay you to think..

Very true. My house hold is bracing for the worst.

lol!!!! The war has NOTHING to do with them bringing home their base pay! They have a contract with the Gov't that if they serve they get paid. I wonder how you would think things are if it was your job that had the nerve to make you keep working and you not get paid. Especially when you have a house payment, utilities, a car payment, and groceries to provide for your family. Not only that but in the UCMJ the military member is REQUIRED to take care of his family.

My reponse was to another poster who was blaming the current possible shut down directly on "Bush's" wars without rightfully blaming all involved.

BTW, I am in danger of losing MY pay too. I'll be the victim of Federal AND state cuts to Medicare and Medicaid, so don't think you are the only one to suffer.

Oh yeah, statists are historical because they're afraid that people might realize that they can get by just fine with a much smaller version of the government.

Would the public be outraged if that did happen? 57 percent say it's more important to make budget cuts than to avoid a shut down while 31 percent say it's more important to avoid a shut down.

A government shutdown will stop only non-essential services which will show us how well we can function without those services. Once we have established survivability without non-essential services, we can do without them.

With all the money saved, Congress can give itself a whoppin big ole bonus, while they continue to bone us.
