Many states do not offer long form birth certificates anymore, Hawaii doesn't, NY doesn't, etc. As far as the LAW is concerned (and that is what matters to prove eligibility) all of the information on Obama's birth certificate (which is a state certified and verified document) meets all State Dept requirements. It really is as simple as that.
Yes, but they did when BO was born and we have been assured one exists, yet no one, to include Hawaii's new governor, seems capable of producing it.
Why would a lawyer who has tried the case claim that Obama specifically uses funds to keep his records sealed?
What lawyer is that?

Almost certainly nothing.

You have yet to produce a reason for doing so. The burden of proof remains on Birthers to rebut the short form. Unless and until you can do so, there is no reason to slay again the already slain.
correct. not all states' short-form have all the information that the state department requires. hawaii's does.
there is a simple way to test this if you'd like. just call up your local passport office and ask if they accept a 2007 hawaiian COLB as proof of birth.
Now this is getting ridiculous - it may just be a matter of not wanting to embaress those that didn't do their diligence. One judge even stated that it might embaress the President.
You probably don't know this... but you are equivocating. Your two uses of the word "embarrass" mean completely different things.
The Judge never said anything even vaguely like "Embarrass the president. She was talking about embarrassing Congress. And that's the leagl term for when one branch of government (in this case the judiciary) tries to do the job of a different branch of government (in this case, the congress).

The only people who ever say such a silly thing are Birthers.

Great. Make it happen. It should be trivial to do so... if there were any evidence that Obama was born anywhere in the universe other than Honolulu, Hawaii.
If such evidence existed a criminal indictment for fraud could be made, completely bypassing the civil courts and any issue of standing. To counter such evidence, Hawaii would have to provide the original long form.
You guys have had almost three years to come up with that evidence.
Where is it?

You have that backwards. The burden of proof has been firmly in the Birther court since June 13, 2008.
good job, faux spews would be proud of you, you flipped the results, the CORRECT number was 57%.

While 25 percent of all Americans in this new poll say Mr. Obama was born outside the U.S., 57 percent correctly said he was born in the United States. Another 18 percent said they did not know where he was born.

Looks like they have issues with some of the short-form BCs too.
