Mr. Obama said Americans support his effort to get Congress to pass the infrastructure improvement legislation, part of his American Jobs Act that was previously blocked by Congressional Republicans.

"This week, they've got another chance to vote for a jobs bill that will help private sector companies put hundreds of thousands of construction workers back on the job rebuilding our roads, our airports, our bridges and our transit systems," he said.

"When 72 percent of the American people support the ideas in this bill -- 72 percent of Americans agree with this -- Republicans, Democrats and independents -- there's no excuse for 100 percent of Washington Republicans to say no," said the president. "That's means that the Republicans in Washington are out of touch with Republican voters."

Interesting. Why would the Republican Tea Party ignore the voters?

Totally IN touch. They know, as the vast majority of Americans do, that obama's "jobs" plan is just more of the same FAILED policies...you remember, the $1+ trillion stimulus?

Obama Approval Plummets Among Americans Skeptical of Jobs Plan - Bloomberg

Quote:
A majority of Americans don’t believe President Barack Obama’s $447 billion jobs plan will help lower the unemployment rate, skepticism he must overcome as he presses Congress for action and positions himself for re- election.

The downbeat assessment of the American Jobs Act reflects a growing and broad sense of dissatisfaction with the president. Americans disapprove of his handling of the economy by 62 percent to 33 percent, a Bloomberg National Poll conducted Sept. 9-12 shows.

Quote:
Amid President Obama’s politically tinged campaign to promote his new job-creation plan, a new poll finds that few Americans think it will make a significant dent in the country’s unemployment rate, which stands at 9.1 percent.

Just one-in-six people in the latest National Journal/United Technologies poll said Obama’s $447 billion stimulus package would reduce unemployment “a lot.” One quarter of respondents said the bill, if enacted, would not affect employment levels at all.
I guess you're one of the few that want to repeat past mistakes.

Your argument is weak.

Didn't economists say the stimulus created 3 Million jobs?

Economists agree: Stimulus created nearly 3 million jobs - Source - Economists agree: Stimulus created nearly 3 million jobs - USATODAY.com

Why would the Republican Tea Party ignore the voters? 72% is a big number.

Nice try. That's not what the poll numbers show.

72 percent of Americans agree with this -- Republicans, Democrats and independents.

Interesting. Why would the Republican Tea Party ignore the voters?
First, it was two Democrats in the Democrat controlled Senate that killed Obama's jobs bill, not Republicans. Second, it would not add a single private sector job even if it did pass. The bill focuses on hiring more government employees only. Third, the bill also calls for an increase in taxes. Lastly, only a complete idiot believes anything the Liar-In-Chief has to say.

Default Republicans in Washington are out of touch with Republican voters?

They have been since the GW Bush years. Which is why I voted Dem for the first time in 2008 and will probably continue to do so, as the GOP has lost its ever-lovin' mind and shows absolutely no signs of recovering.

Prove it. Post the portion of the bill the President is referencing. Economists are in direct conflict with your opinion.

Save your opinion. It's useless.
