LOL at the Arizona GOP. Do they think they can keep these kids in the dark about their culture and history? And somehow, the state will benefit?

Only in a red state would ignorance be considered a virtue.

Yes, it will maintain the purity of the Mexican history and culture and teach them all about the repression done to them by Gringos.

it has been shown around the world that multiculturalism doesnt work. and the hispanic studies program at TUSD is not only a flawed program, but divisive and racist as well as supporting revolution. it is good that the state is defunding the program.

Who would want the governments distorted version of events anyhow? (private school anyone?)

Those who crave the knowledge will resource it themselves

Hey let the go to a PRIVATE school to get their cultural studies. Japanese Americans, have had PRIVATE Japanese language/culture schools for generations in Hawaii. These are attended after regular school hours in Private facilities. Works out quite well..you know.

I would be ok if this class was in addition to US History and social studies or an elective in middle/high school. But this is a replacement for that and goes from 3-12. That IMHO is nothing more than segregated indoctrination.

If Mexico is so near and dear to you then why did you come to the US ?

Mexicans in Arizona predate the arrival of white folks.
