Actually I have yet to see even one instance of a 'Limbaugh fan' taking advertisers to task. I'm guessing that most if not all conservatives would agree that they are completely free to pull their ads.

Can you provide an example? I've looked through the half-dozen or so threads on the dustup here, and haven't seen any such complaints. You must have seen some to have posted this--where are they?

I'm seen several apologists threads for Limbaugh, with none devoted to this topic. The interesting part of the story is its eerily similar to what one Michigan Housewife did to the Fox series Married with Children. Now the show, unlike Rush, had big time advertisers, and P & G pulled out. That started a major haircu in terms of ad dollars, and with that, Fox was going to deep six the show with at a higher rating point, than had the ad dollars still been strong.

My hunch is RL's show ends up on a station list 1/3 the size of 2 weeks ago, and within 2 years, its off the air. Strictly over money, and yes folks, those waiting to advertise will get bargains galore if they still want it. But a bunch of bedding firms and 3rd rate medicines is not a strong advertising base to start with.

With 25 million listeners, Rush can do a lot of damage to the reputation of his sponsors!

jojajn, Don't be too sure. In the first run Murdoch had owning the NY Post, they went after a more upscale store than the Modells' of the city who advertised in their than Fleet St sleezy publication. They were rebuffed with the reply from the exec they met with : "Your readers are our shoplifters".

RL's demographics stink, and that is why the fly by night bedding chains are his mainstay. Not the movers and shakers of corporations who do advertise on shows with better demographics.

Actually it is corporations using their First Amendment rights.

But the point of your thread (now merged) was that 'Limbaugh fans' were unable to 'accept' the decision by advertisers to pull their ads. Again can you come up with even one example of that? You must have gotten the notion from somewhere, didn't you?

Reading this thread wutitiz demonstrates RL fans are unaccepting of the shows fate. They comprise the majority of the threads on it, and if they were accepting, they would not be belly-aching or using diversions like a political comedians comments on another thread.

The non dittoheads have no issue with what they see as RL's future.

Good, those commercials were getting old, glad to see them go.

.

You are guessing, please name all the sponors lining up.

Companies aren't liberal or conservative, they lose business when they support extremists, Limbaugh made a huge mistake. He pushed the envelope many times, this time he went way too far
