The Republicans in Congress called a meeting on BC and their panel of witnesses were all MEN.

So the Democrats said hey, this involves women...let's include them.

So they asked Fluke her opinion.

She wanst fairness. She does NOT want anyone to pay for her BC...and she NEVER said so.

She wants what she pays for with her insurance premiums which SHE pays...

Do you understand ? SHE pays her health insurance premiums and wants them to cover what she pays for.

SHE pays her health insurance premiums and wants them to cover what she pays for.

oh boy. or should I say oh girl. The all-male panel was engineered by Democrats. And again, if she's willing to pay for her own bc, why the need to go to Congress? Just write a check, shell out the cash, or swipe your debit card. It's always worked for me when I needed a box of condoms.

I'm glad that the fat "f"er Rush is really getting his comeuppance. Maybe we can buryhis career along with the Republican party's relevance.

And, being a rightists you totally missed the point...she should get what she pays for with her insurance premiums and the Catholic church has NO right to say, " we won't allow our health Insurance carrier to cover the health care of certain individuals".

That's sex discrimination and that is against the law which, of course, rightists don't care about...
Do men get BC and women don't?

Ever hear of student loans?

She wasn't speaking for herself only she was speaking for a group of people. I don't think it should be free but at least covered in a plan. The pill would cost Health Insurance companies less than the cost of having a child in the first place.

I do however think that the Catholic Church should make the same changes it made when it came to condoms saying it was okay as long as for the prevention of spreading Aids and disease. If it's medically necessary a provision should be made IMO. If they are doing their jobs (the church) people will be honest about it.
The Catholic Church believes in life and against contraception. This is about religious freedom and liberals attempting to push their agenda on people who don't believe in their ways.

Back on topic:

Rush has a constitutional right to say what he pleases. He is entitled to his opinion.

Advertisers have a right not to sponsor his show.

Rush will have to get other sponsors, that's not too difficult.

Folks who were outraged by Rush's comments have a right to criticize him.

Rush has lost a lot of credibility, but in many circles he had no credibility to begin with.

What is the big deal?

Like this.....$9: Price for a Month's Supply of Birth Control Pills at Target 3 Miles from Georgetown Law | CNSNews.com

Get the facts health insurance for the most part doesn't cover BC or Vigara!!!FactCheck.org : McCain’s Viagra Moment
As for Viagra, independent studies of coverage are sparse, but the ones that exist don’t show that the drug is covered more than birth control. In 2000, an article in Health Affairs reported that “[o]nly about half of all U.S. health plans reimburse members for at least some Viagra pills.” A 1999 Washington Post article reported that the drug company Pfizer, which makes Viagra, estimated the coverage rate at 40 percent. And a 2007 Mercer survey of large employers (500 or more employees) showed that about 30 percent denied coverage of erectile dysfunction drugs, and most of the remaining employers imposed limitations on coverage. A Pfizer representative had no comment when we requested more up-to-date information.

Your arguing about a none issue!!

I don't think so. Once the big advertisers pull out, others the same size don't go there, for fear they'll be boycotted too.
He may get a few 2nd tier advertisers like Colon Cleanse and that kind of stuff, but those outfits don't pay as much as companies like Sears or AOL.

Rush's audience is the largest in talk radio, but it only amounts to less than 2% of the total radio audience, and radio in general pulls a lower number of people now than it used to, due to prevalence of the iPod, where everyone can play their own fave top 40, and satellite radio, which can be picked up where once only AM stations could be received. The glory days for talk radio and AM are long gone now, and all the stations are fighting hard for any audience they can get.

Rush just made half of America- the women- VERY angry. And women don't channel surf like men. They pick a station and stick with it all day. Rush just lost that vital segment, the one all sponsors seek the most.

I'm sure that compared to the loss of the female market, the advertisers don't care much if a few ditto heads boycott them too. Those numbers would be insignificant.
If you really wanted to support Rush, BucsLose, you would go to one of those companies that pulled out and buy something from them, not quit them. If enough ditto-heads did that, a company like Sears might change their mind, but it's doubtful. Unless the ditto-heads outnumber the loss of the women, Sears is done with Limbaugh for good. And so are the others.

It's just like Beck. Once his sponsors left him, he couldn't get them back. You can't un-poison the well.

Bad, Rush. Very stupid, and very bad. Limbaugh didn't shoot himself in the foot with this. He shot himself in the vitals, and could die a very quick death on the airwaves.

Show me your proof that women who were already fans of Rush are now boycotting him for what he said. When I say proof, I don't mean some liberal propaganda, but an actual news source. Rush has been in controversy before and he has survived.

If Limbaugh admitting to be a drug addict didn't sink him, this won't.

Don't forget, this guy is accustomed to scandals, ranging from racist remarks to suitcase full of viagra and sex tourism hot spots. His fans are loyal sheep
