So you're living proof that public school sucks.

Theres still nothing in the Constitution that specifies that a state of war must be present.
Prove me wrong if you're such a scholar.

I'd bet most people here went to public school and knew that it doesn't require a state of war for the president to be Commander in Chief. Guess you slept in school.

That depends on what basis.... If what they are being asked to do is contrary to the constitution of the US then they would be in jeopardy to obey the orders of the commander in chief.

Good for the marines! All the American military should do this.
This religious wacko, anti-intellectual, intolerant, war-monger oligarchy isn't worth defending.

Young lady, you have an attitude problem. I suggest you point it elswhere before you DO find out what I'm a scholar in.

Shame on you for your unprovoked snottiness. I never said I was a scholar, but I HAVE alluded to the fact that I *(along with millions of my fellow-travelers) have wisdom and common sense.

I was taught that by one of our stellar government school teachers and I concur that govt. isn't good at schooling, either---simply indoctrination which, thank God they failed in with many of us.

I also....never said "still" that that was IN the constitution.

You are living proof of what is wrong with libs and this nation, but I best stop here and not continue to lower myself to your level.

Our soldiers may have to start carrying pocket versions of our constitution, but yes they do have Legal and Moral authority to disobey orders.

We'll have to see just how bad and subversive that their orders get in the next couple of years.

I'm actively part of the military community and I sleep well at night knowing that although even a remnant of "BO type thugs" are starting to infiltrate, we mostly have a truly American and freedom-loving military and they'll not turn on we citizens like subversives will be needing, someday.
