This has now reached a new level of hilarity. Bennett has received a petition with more than 17,000 signatures asking him to investigate Romney's birth certificate and obtain proof that Mitt Romney is not actually a unicorn that would be ineligible to be President. His investigation of Obama's birth certificate was prompted by a request made by approximately 1,200 people. We will see how Romney's shill and campaign chair is going to get out the mess he made for himself trying to pander to the racists.

I fully expect that we will get an announcement that he needs to spend more time with family and can no longer represent the Romney campaign. Both Bennett and Arpaio are laughingstocks right now, all forms of media are presenting the birther movement as the idiotic farce that it is.

Don't you mean serial number and date of manufacture? I didn't think robots had birth certificates.

The Mitten2000 is a one of a kind prototype.

Why do you say that? no one seems to care about fraud in elections, or treason from previous administrations....

Oh I forgot the right doesn't want to focus on reality and real crimes , just make up more nonsense.

They could provide film of Obama's birth with palm trees swaying by the ocean and it wouldn't be good enough...

You are assuming that President Obama has broken the law.

from Bennett says he's received verification of president's birth certificate | azfamily.com Phoenix :

Quote:
[ken bennett] said there is still a chance he will try to verify Mitt Romney's Michigan birth certificate if he is asked to.
so........ i emailed the AZ SOS office and asked him to. will let you know if i get a reply. i'd be interested to see how the state of michigan would handle such a request.

Bennett also denied having a conflict of interest in the matter. Bennett is an Arizona co-chair of the Romney campaign and has endorsed him.
i'd place a "show" bet that bennett quietly steps down as romney's co-chair in the next month.

Quote:
"This is probably a distraction or is not what the Romney campaign wanted to talk about anyway, so I don't think it did the Romney campaign any favors," Bennett said.
he got that one right (imo).

I'll take that bet.

Bennett wants to run for Governor, and Republicans were not at all upset at Bennett over this.
Babeu had to step down from the Romney campaign because he was outed as having an undocumented gay lover. Unless they find Bennett in a similar situation, he'll stay put.

Has Bennett requested "verification" or "certification" or any "tion" you want, with reference to Mr. Romney's birth certificate? He would need to, correct, to put Mr. Romney on the Arizona ballot - unless, he's using different standards. We always hear birthers whine that they're "not racist." Now is Mr. Bennett's chance to prove he's not.

true, i've yet to hear much outcry over this from the GOP but........ this still isn't over. i think if the birthers remain relatively quiet on this one topic and the democrats ignore it then bennett will remain co-chair. but....... if the birthers start causing a high profile stink or if the dems raise a stink over bennett not demanding proof from michigan of romney's birth then i see a stepping down happening.
