Coretta Scott King, who knew and remembered MLK far better than you thought differently...

Coretta Scott King is not Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. She may have her own opinions - quite different than those held by Dr. King - did you ever consider that?

Oh, really? Then why the hell do a number of prominent preachers condemn homosexuality in their churches and then go sneak away in search of homosexual behavior to indulge in? Since so many Christians greatly consider homosexuality as one of the worst sins one can possibly indulge in, I find such hypocritical behavior totally sick and disgusting.

Did I claim hat she was MLK? No, I did not.

She did however know him and knew what his thoughts on the subject far better than any of us.

Did you ever consider that?

I don't know of whom you are specifically referring to - as this is the first I have heard of that - but if it is happenning - those preachers are horribly misguided, to say the least.

The better question is why would you draw a generalization of all Christians from the isolated actions of a few people?

Homosexuality is no worse than pedophilia, bestiality, incest, adultery or any other sexual sin. There are hypocrites throughout humanity, including churches. We are all sinners. Homosexual behavior is sin.

As deeply upset and offended as people get with homosexuality, one would think Jesus would have specifically brought it up and condemned it. People get upset about adultery, too, but at least Jesus brought that topic up. Perhaps homosexuality was not such an upsetting subject in the time of Jesus.

They did understand sexual preference - and they knew that some people chose to be homosexual - which was(and is) deviant.
Then why CHOOSE to be a homosexual?

His focus was on the Gospel and salvation. He said "You must repent of your sins to be saved!" That includes all sins.

Why choose to be an adulterer? Because you give in to your sinful lusts.
