Wow, so now, you are pretty sure, even though you don't have all the facts.

And you said you

So, you exploring all the possibilities excludes the possibility of her possibly having any type of intent.

We certainly do know now that she was not a deadly threat - hindsight is great.
Did I miss something? Is there a news article to back up your claim?

A mistake, yes. But Zoey's family needs justice. 3 years in prison seems reasonable to me for the homeowners.

Yes - I have an opinion on what occurred - and I am pretty sure that is how things went down.

I am certainly willing to explore other intentions - but I don't know what those might be - given the facts that we have.

Maybe you could enlighten me and others with your opinion.

Okay lets go old school- If some drunken girl or man staggered into my entrance..I would approach the person say " Hey you are really drunk"- then I would gently turn them around and give them a gentle push out the door - and lock it. That's the way it used to be done- no guns- no cops and no courts.

People were not terrified of everything that moved nor would they leap out of their beds with every bump in the night. This reminds me of that itchy fingered Zimmerman...You give the guy a law that protects him from prosecution in these situations ...people who are nuts or just plain mean water at the mouth in the hope of trying out that new Glock.

I have answered your opinion question, go back and read.

So, you went from we don't know, to "I'm pretty sure."

O.K., have a good night.

Justice?

What crime did the homeowners commit?

"Families" don't get justice - society does. And society can only require justice if a codified statute was violated.

Three years in prison? You don't understand how our criminal justice system operates, apparently. You are operating on emotion - not reason.

Not at all. What's jail going to do but teach her how to commit crimes while sober?

A drunk girl actually stumbled through my door when I was in the AF (No, this is not the first half of a tasteless joke). As punishment, she was escorted to her room by yours truly.

If this would have been a drunk guy, everyone would be saying he deserved it.....he should have known better....
