Or they will believe that people who believe in man made dieties demonstrate Group Hysteria and will look at Believers as Idiots who believe in Science Fiction. L. Ron Hubbard comes to mind in this case

The interesting thing I see with respect to religion is those in the West romanticizing other religions and looking at their own with disdain. Religion is not very different worldwide.
