That's the great thing about this country, in that every state is an experiment in democracy. We'll see how well it works out in that district, then, if it results in less school violence, look at expanding it throughout the country. It's good to see come common sense applied to the problem of school violence, instead of just irrational, knee-jerk reactions.
Much like concealed carry laws, I expect the hand-wringing emotionalists will be on here decrying blood running in the streets...then after 3 decades of evidence that they were wrong...they will still be making the same arguement.
Hopefully they will expand on that, use it as an opportunity to teach kids about guns, both the dangers, and the ways to handle them responsibly.
Oh I know i cannot wait to see how this plays out. We know an armed neighborhood is a lesser crime area
Mentally unstable people can be parents too. Sounds like your child might have one. If one, ONE of those adults had been armed at the school in Ct., the entire outcome most probably would have been different. Something people like you can't seem to grasp.
I don't the the fantasy would have played out the way you seem to think. But, why don't you run us through it anyway? So a teacher in a class room across campus has a gun....GO!
Texas, I'm surprised they don't let the students carry guns
Actually, when I went to school in Texas, we did carry guns to school.. We left them in the rifle rack in our pickups, but we did carry them to school.. None of those evil guns ever jumped out of the rack and shot anyone either.
