Businesses in Detroit aren't forced to unionize just for being in Detroit.

Perhaps. Though last time I checked, judges are supposed to remain apolitical. That's what made her comment so absurd, and frankly, revealed that she's an incompetent moron.

Perhaps. Though in the end I believe it's a given that the matter will fall under the judicature of the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts.

Default MSNBC Host blames Republican policies for Detroit bankruptcy

Ed Schultz: “Thanks to a lot of Republican policies, [Detroit] is now filing for bankruptcy” « Hot Air

Ed Schultz lies through his teeth, just as that title Melissa Perry. Now the question is, just how many of their viewers are dumb enough to believe them?

Michigan used to be a symbol of industrial strength in manufacturing in this country. But thanks to a lot of Republican policies, the city is now filing for bankruptcy.

Okay, Ed. Let’s go ahead and forget the fact that a large and liberal government made extravagant promises over the decades that it had no way of keeping; and that one of Detroit’s largest employers has been the city itself, and the now shrinking public employee force and benefits getting cut are because of the city’s utter lack of fiscal sustainability, not because of some draconian Republican budget-cutting victory; and that unions have absolutely dominated Detroit and its politics for decades, and Michigan’s first right-to-work law only went into effect less than six months ago, and that one of the appeals of right-to-work is in fact keeping workers economically competitive and thereby prevent outsourcing;

Wow. Since when has Detroit been run by Republicans?

I don't even blame the politicans running Detroit so much as the jobs being exported through NAFTA and China deals. I think Detroit has a pretty decent mayor right now but with no jobs, not even he can bring it back.

Oh you'd be surprised. Liberals think they're the smartest people in the room so it's fairly easy to brainwash them into believing even the most outrageous lies-
